Managing Director Claus Risborg

Claus Risborg new Managing Director of Nybo Jensen Konfektion A/S

On 1 March 2010, the 46-year old Claus Risborg from Aarhus was appointed new Managing Director of Nybo Jensen Konfektion A/S in Viborg

Claus Risborg began on 1 March as daily leader of Nybo Jensen Konfektion A/S in Viborg – one of the leading Danish manufacturers of high quality light work wear.

A good starting point for development and growth

- To be at the head of a well established company like Nybo Jensen Konfektion A/S fills me with joy and pride, but at the same time, I’m aware that it is also a task which requires humility. Nybo Jensen Konfektion A/S is known as a trend-setter, where quality in every aspect - from design and production to service - is the key word. The company is based on good old virtues like honesty and credibility and is at the same time modern and innovative.

These values are a good basis for further development and growth, Claus Risborg says. Claus has a degree in commerce and an executive education also. Prior to his new job in Viborg, Claus has had several leading positions in the field of sales and management. In the last 8 years at the company Teknisk Gummi Horsens A/S, which - during that period - experienced a considerable growth in the export area.

Sees things from a new perspective

- No matter from what line of business you come, you are basically faced with the same situations, where you must make a decision. Therefore, I don’t see it as a problem that I didn’t have any experience with the production and sales of work clothing. On the contrary, it can be an advantage that you can see things from a new perspective, Claus Risborg says.

 - But of course I need to get a good knowledge of the company. Since I began in my new job, I have spent days with the employees and the managers of the different departments. This has confirmed the impression I had got of the company as a place where joy and optimism rule and where everybody works towards the same goal. It is personal freedom combined with great responsibility towards the company, and this suits my own personal view of my new position perfectly.

The manager must take active part in the daily business

- As a manager, it’s important that you are involved in the daily tasks and keep a good connection with customers, suppliers, employees, the board of directors and the owners. I also want to be a part of the daily business, where I can offer all my experience within production and sales. But of course with respect for the skills of each of my colleagues - be it leaders or employees.

I have worked four years in Germany, which is a very important market for Nybo Jensen Konfektion A/S. I hope that by big experience here will come to good use in my new job, Claus Risborg says.

Nybo Jensen Konfektion A/S is situated in Viborg, and there is a factory in Latvia. Also, there is co-operation with sewing companies in more East European countries and the Far East. There are about 200 employees in Viborg and Latvia. Claus Risborg is the new director after Torben Rump.
